All About Me
My name is Kelly Everett. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2002 with a bachelors degree in special education. I spent my first five years teaching in a self contained classroom serving children with cognitive disabilities and autism. Then I began my career in the preschool classroom at Vanceboro Farm Life. I received a preschool add-on at UNC-Pembroke. I spent five years working with children ages 3-5 with developmental disabilities. In 2012, I began serving students on the common core curriculum in a co-teaching setting, resource setting, or seperate setting. I have the opportunity to work with the general education teachers to meet all of my students needs. I serve students in grades first, second, and third. My students have individualized education plans(IEP's). I truly feel blessed to spend my day with amazing students and the remarkable teachers at Vanceboro Farm Life.
On a personal note. . .I am the wife to a wonderful husband and we have three amazing children together. We enjoy spending time outside, at the beach, running together, and watching our children as they grow and change everyday.
